Picking up a bottle of wormroot before turning it over in his hands and then opening it to check it's freshness, half-wizard Malakai Cera had come here to look for more ingredients for his potions, and that's usually all he found when he went out. He never found a love interest or a child to connect with, just more things for work.. and it was beginning to get boring as well as rather lonely. He lived by himself, not even a pet to speak of, surrounded by his mounds of books and scribbled down notes for more potions and healing herbs he'd discovered uses for. He was quite smart and rather talkative once one got him started on something he loved, but otherwise? He simply kept to himself, blending in with his surroundings as usual. It was the same today as it had been everyday thus far this week.. and he sighed knowing it most likely would be the same thing next week as well.
Taking a couple more bottles into his hands to look at the labels and contents, his oversized glasses slid down on his nose, making him mutter something otherwise unintelligible to others. Using the heel of his hand to shove them back up to the bridge, he then double checked the labels, making sure he was getting the right things. Handing them to the cashier, he knew exactly how much money he would need since he'd bought the same things here before, and moved to get his money out of his pocket. As he brought his hand to the edge of his pocket, the button of his coat got stuck on the hem, making him growl slightly at it. "I don't need this," he muttered to himself. "I need to get back to my potions.. and this is not helping in the slightest."
Tugging a couple of times with no luck, he finally frowned and jerked harder than before as someone ran into him. Along with knocking him to the ground, the person, whomever they were, had succeeded in jostling his hand, making his money fly everywhere, landing on the ground around him. Sighing, he wondered why the world was blurry before realizing that his glasses were also missing. Looking around by squinting his eyes, he finally found them, dusted them off, and put them back on before looking up at his interruptor. "I believe an apology is in order, and not from me," he informed them. "Now if you please, can you help me gather my money back up? It's very important that I get it, or I cannot buy the ingredients I'm in need of."
